Whimsy Stamps

Have you checked out Whimsy Stamps? They have the cutest animal images!!! Needless to say, I was super excited to see that they were looking for a Guest Designer for February. You can check out all the details here. To play along you need to use the great sketch Denise provided.
I really like this Sketch, it's definitely a keeper in my book! I did take a little creative license in my interpretation.

I used Coffee Riley from Hanna Stamps and colored him with my Copics. I also used some SU! Markers as well. I am also pleased to say that I just may have figured out this new camera!!! Hooray! I have a nice space set up in my stamping room that seems to have just the right balance of natural light. Yea...

Here's a side view where you can see the Stickles I added to the cupcake and coffee steam. (I really included this picture because I was super impressed by my ability to take a picture of sparkles and have them show up.)

And a close up of the sentiment. I fiddled with it for a LONG time last night and I'm pretty happy with the results.

If you weren't aware, the Pittsburgh Steelers are in the Super Bowl. Woot Woot! Growing up 30 miles outside of the city and being a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, you know who I'm routing for! Well, We decided a few months ago to have a Super Bowl party. At that time I reserved the right to make it a Pittsburgh themed event should they make it to the big game. That means Pittsburgh Tail Gate food! Wings, pepperoni rolls, meatball and Italian sausage sandwiches and for dessert, black and gold smiley face cookies shipped from Eat N Park! (It's an institution)

So, I have to head off to the grocery store and get my ingredients!! Have a happy Sunday!!!

Someone's Been Naughty!

And for once it wasn’t me! It was our computer. It seems that she’s been out trolling the mean streets of the internet and caught herself a virus and a pretty bad addiction to porn. She kept popping up dirty sites, I guess the poor girl couldn’t stop…. We warned her to be careful and to always use protection, but you know how kids are these days, they have to learn their lessons the hard way. Needless to say, she had to go to rehab and after a pretty intense in-patient program, she’s back and even better than before!!! Hooray!

To celebrate, I have a few cards to show you. The first one is a Thanksgiving Riley from Hanna Stamps. He is too cute holding the turkey and so fun to color! The paper is from SU!,cardstock and DP. The plaid DP is from Michaels. I colored him with my copics and SU! Markers.

I also decided to take the plunge and make my first Christmas Card. I used Santa Riley from Hanna Stamps and this time the DP is Basic Grey – Wassail. If you look closely, you’ll notice the presents are upside down. Not intentional and I thankfully don’t subscribe to the thought that inverted things are evil. If so, I can’t imagine the ramifications. All those little packages filled with nasty? Perish the thought!

Mooses Meeses?

Thankfully, just 1 moose. No need to pluralize.

I used to have a "thing" for moose, no, not that way you dirty birds. But there was a time when I received a lot of moose stuff. I still have a bunch, my very favorite is a wooden moose who expels candy when you lift his head. I'll give you a bright shiny quarter if you can guess where where the candy comes from.... It's even more funny when you use malted milk balls

I've shied away over the past few years, but when I saw the Riley stamps from Hanna Stamps I couldn't resist.

I colored him with my Copic marker (yes, one) and SU! markers. The paper came from my scrap pile and a really cute pack that is from K&M? and was on sale at Michaels. I couldn't decide where to put the ribbon, so I left it off. I am still up for suggestions. As for the sentiment, I didn't have anything that really "went" with it, so I decided to leave it blank. A few rhinestones and there you go!
