Please don't tell me how many days are left until Christmas and please don;t remind me that I agreed to make 12 dozen pizelles for a cookie exchange Saturday. For those of you who don;t know, pizelles are awesome delicious Italian waffle cookies that are made 2, yes 2 at a time with a pizelle maker. I'd better get cooking!
But I do have a minute to show you a little something for this week's hop. We were tasked with using black, green and white with an older stamp. Oh, wait, did you see Nina's makings? Go on back if you didn't. I'll wait... toodely doo.. OK, I unfortunately didn't have a chance to make something new for this week, but I do have something that is still awesome.
It's the Friends of Oz stamp! Say it with me! AWWWWWWW.... So cute! As you can see, I have green, black and white all represented here. WOO HOO! You love this, so go get it for... 45% off! Yes! 45% off! Run, don't walk and get you one!
Well, that's all for me! Go see Shannon and her spectacular creation!
enjoy!

Royal Kat Tuesday Blog Hop!
Did you have a fantastic Thanksgiving? I know I did! We had a great trip up north and did a little gambling, a little shopping AND I had tickets to see Bret Michaels on my birthday! Pretty Sweet! Now it's back to work AND working out for a few weeks until Christmas!
So, did you start at the beginning of the hop? If not, head on back and see what Nina made. As for me, I'm super excited to show off some new stamps! I got to play with Eskimo kisses this month and I think they are just ADORABLE! We had a sketch challenge this week and here's what I made.
I pulled out the cuttlebug and everything this week. :) I colored the Eskimos with my Copics to match some Basic Grey paper that I had from last season. I also embossed some snowflakes as a background, hey, Eskimos need snow, right??
Alrighty, that's all for me! Head on over and see Shannon and her awesomeness!
Enjoy!

Tuesday Blog Hop!
Gack! Tuesday already! I hope you had a fantastic time this weekend at the birthday celebration! Did you submit your entries for the $50 in free rubbah??? FREE RUBBER! How can you resist? Any who, back to your regularly scheduled hop. Am I your second hop? I should be! if not, go see what Nina made for you.
As for me, I had to make another project with my Sagittarius stamp. He is awesomely FANTASTIC!
I colored him with Copics to match that delicious designer paper and glued it to a Miller Lite coaster I took from a restaurant a while ago. :) I roughed up the edges with a nail file and added a ribbon so he can hang from a package or a super cool holiday tree.
I know you want him, so get you to the store and get him for your very own, but in the mean time, you're done with me, so head on over to the Dark Ink Sorority and see what she has for you!
Enjoy!

The party's over...
Can you believe it? The QKD party is over. :( Well, I guess there isn't anything left to do but clean up the mess.. Since we had such an awesome party, you know there is a TON if glitter to pick up. As my husband says, glitter is the herpes of the craft world...
I digress, and back to business, there is a SPECTACULAR give away up on the Queen Kat Blog $50 in QKD merchandise! can you imagine???!!! So, all you have to do is whip something up using a kitty image and add some bling! Then go to the blog and link yours to the site! Who knows, you might win some dough!
Here's what I did with mine...
I used Kitsune Chan for mine and colored her to match the vaguely Asian inspired designer paper. Oranges and pink and some pretty glittery scroll chipboard. And since thanks are in order for the awesome party, she thanks you a bunch!
Now don't forget to make yours and post by Monday at 10am MST!
Good Luck!

Birthday Blog Hop!
Can you believe it?? QKD turns 4 years old today! Well, I think that calls for a celebration! So let's show off all of our birthday cards!! Hopefully you came here via Nina's blog. If not, go on back to the beginning! You don;t want to miss this!!
Since QKD's b-day is November, and we November birthdays gotta represent, what could be more perfect than a birthday card showcasing our fantastic Sagittarius stamp?
Pardon my lighting, I was at least able to crop the cat out of the background. :) So, isn't he spectacular??? I colored him up with my Copics and paired him with some manly designer paper.
Now, you can't stay here all day! Go see Jules! I know she has something awesome waiting for you!!
Happy Birthday!

Royal Kat Tuesday!
YEAH, it's Tuesday! Welcome to the blog hop! Did you come from the beginning? Good!
We had the challenge of using older stamps along with some pretty fall colors. I decided to use the Turkey Stamp because its only a few days til Thanksgiving (and 10 until my birthday!)
I stamped the image in Palette Noir black ink and colored with Copics. Then I took some old paper from the stash and paired it with a fun sketch from a magazine. It amuses me. How about you?
Well, I gotta run! Go see Shannon and enjoy the hop!

Royal Tuesday Blog Hop!
Woo Hoo! It's time for another blog hop! did you start at the beginning like you should??? GOOD if not, shame, shame, head on over and see Nina's creation them come right back here!
Today, we had a fantastic sketch to work with. Me personally, I love some sketch challenges. It makes it SO much easier for me to create when I have a sketch in mind! For our challenge today I used one of my new stamps that was JUST release, Kitsune Chang.
Isn't she AWESOME??!!! I just adore Che's kitty stamps, and this one is SO fun to color! For some reason I was feeling a grey/purple color palette and I'm pretty pleased with how she turned out! If you love her too, go on over to the store and grab one up for yourself!

Royal kat Tuesday and RELEASE DAY!!
YEAH! Welcome to Royal Kat Tuesday! Not only is it time for the hop but it's time to show off some new stamps!! Now, did you start at the beginning? No, go on back and see what Nina made!
I got to play with one of Che's Zodiac Circus stamps. This month we have... Sagittarius! By FAR my very most favorite one! Why? well, that's my sign so I'm a bit partial. For the circus our Sag is a horseman, which is totally appropriate given the sign's tendency to be a bit full of ourselves.... Love me...
I paired him with some fabu paper from Bo Bunny that I recently scored at Archivers. I also colored him with my Copics and added a little bit of ribbon. He doesn't need much you know, the personality of a Sagittarius doesn't need much embellishment. :)
Alright, that's it for me, go see Shannon and her awesomeness!
Enjoy!

Royal Kat Tuesday!
Hello all! Another fantastic Tuesday is upon us and I have another treat for you! Hopefully you've hopped here from the beginning of the hop, if not, go on back and see what Nina has for you!
This is the challenge week and we were asked to use a shoe as inspiration and go to town. Well, I have bit of a 'thing' for shoes and believe me, it wasn't difficult to find a pair for inspiration. Please pardon the terrible picture, left the camera at work and had to use the iphone. Don't get me wrong, MUCH better than my old phone pictures but the lighting is...eh.
My shoes. Open toe, leopard print with a suede bow. The only thing that would make them more perfect would be a heal. I'm a bit short and wear heels most days. Definitely need a pair of animal print heels... Sorry, shoe distracted.
This is what I came up with...

Again, bad lighting. MUCH better in person.... I found some yummy print paper in the stash and paired it with the locked gears stamp from QKD. A girl needs some sparkle and I added my own little sentiment.
Likey? me too.... Now, off with you to see Shannon! You enjoy!

Royal Kat Tuesday!
Welcome back to another installation of Royal Kat Tuesday! Hopefully I'm the second stop on your hop, if not, head on back here and see what Nina made!
This week we had a color challenge, chocolate brown, taupe, ginger and cranberry. I definitely think I made it into the color family with my card.
Again, I used the Vampire Ball stamp. Love them.. I colored with my Copics and I used some paper from my stash, I really should pay attention to where the paper comes from... Anywho, I envisioned this one more of a "Happy Homecoming" Card, complete with pesky little sister. Wouldn't it be cute if a little sis colored this and gave it to the older one to celebrate a special day? I just love all of the options available!
Well, that's it for me! You go now to Shannon's blog! I know she has something ridiculously cool waiting for you!
Enjoy!

Sorry, I'm running a little late today! Hopefully you've arrived here from the start of the hop, if not, head on over to the beginning and check out what Nina has for you!
As for me, we had a fantastic sketch to work with this week and here's my take on it.
I used the Vampire Ball stamp for this card and I have to say, I had to think about what kind of card I wanted this to be. I couldn't decide if this was a Vampy Bride and her flower girl or a vampire teen going to homecoming and her little sister behind her. For this one I went with the bridal idea. Perfect for a unique bride dontcha think? I colored them with my copics and used some fun fallish papers from my stash!
Well, that's all for me! head on over to Shannon and see what she has in store for you!
Enjoy!

QKD Fall Hop!
Good Morning all! It's a fine day for a blog hop! Dontcha think? So, hopefully you've arrived here from Terri's blog and fallen in love with her awesomeness!
This is a fall inspired blog hop, and I don't know about you but nothing screams fall to me more than Halloween! You know I just HAD to throw out a little Halloween something for you.
For this I used the new QKD steampunk inspired background stamp. It was stamped with Versamark and heat set with gold embossing powder. I just love the way it looks on the black background. I also used some patterned paper from last year that was still in my stash as well as some SU! card stock. The sentiment is a rub-on that was affixed to a pre-cut oval. Again, I bought all of these supplies last year and I'm not terribly sure where they all came from.
The one thing that I am sure of is that your next stop (and I believe your last?) is the QKD store! Head on over there and grab up this stamp as well as the others you've seen featured on today's hop!
Enjoy and happy shopping!

Royal Kat Tuesday!
I'm BAAAACK! Did you miss me? I have been in midst of boxes and moving and packing and unpacking and building and all other sorts of ridiculousness over the last several weeks. Thankfully we are about 80% unpacked and I have found "most" of my stuff. I went through a big purge right before we moved and I suspect some of the things I can't find made their way to the trash. It's OK, we didn't really need them, I just think they should be there.
SOOOOOooooo, It's the first of the month and that means NEW STAMPS!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!! I am super excited for new rubber and the ones I got to play with did not disappoint! Now hopefully you arrived here from the QKD blog, if not go on back there and start at the beginning like you're supposed to! :)
For this week we had a fantastic sketch to play with and I used my new steampunk inspired background stamp.
You love it, right? Fall finally arrived in NC and I found myself pulling out the dark oranges and chocolate browns when making cards this week. For this I stamped it with Versamark and heat embossed with gold shakey-embossy-stuff on Kraft paper. The patterned paper is an old SU! pattern I believe as is the Dusty Durango paper. For my sentiment I "found" some Thickers that we begging to be added on this card.
Like it? You can score one for your very own at the store tomorrow when they go on sale. In the meantime, head on over and see what awesomeness Shannon has waiting in store for you!
Enjoy!

Royal Kat Tuesday!
It's Tuesday!!! You know that what that means?? It means I start moving tomorrow!! ARGH!!! Thankfully I had this card all ready to go and didn't have to go digging to make something. :)
So.... hopefully you came here from the QKD blog. If not, go back and love on Nina's creation then come on back here. We had a fabulous picture as inspiration this week and I LOVED the colors and had to use them in my creation.
I adore Che's kitties, just love them... This one threw me a bit since I don't have an orange kitty to use as a model. Thankfully, my kitties don't read my blog, so they won't be jealous that I didn't use them as inspiration... I colored the image with my Copics and used some yummy Basic Gray paper from my stash. You likey? Go get one for yourself at the store!

Woo Hoo,Tuesday again and that means another blog hop! This one is extra quick for me,I have to get up at the crack of dawn tomorrow and head to Charlotte for a 9 am meeting. BLECK! Any who, hopefully you arrived here from the QKD blog. If not head on over there to see what Nina made for ya!
Today's challenge was to use an older stamp and the colors rose, butter and melon. As you can see, I have all of those there, just maybe in a deeper hue. Eh? This is Ms Bunny Chan who I adore and I actually made this a while ago. I brought her back out again since my craft room is in boxes waiting for the move!
I covered a tag with some fun patterned paper, colored her with my Copics and added some bling. I know she's still available and you must take her home and love her forever.
That's all for me! Bop over to Nancy and see what she has waiting for you!
Enjoy!

Royal Kat Tuesday!
Hi all! Welcome back to Royal Kat Tuesday! Hopefully you've arrived here from the QKD blog and Nina's awesome creation! If not, head on back to the beginning and see what you've missed!
Today we had a fantastic sketch to work with and for mine, I used the new Neko Chan stamp! Did you know that Che has a line of kitties??!! I love kitties! I have 3 myself, which might be why this one was a little hard for me to color. See, Neko Chan is a girl kitty, and the only girl kitty I have is all black. It's a little difficult to detail a black kitty, so that's why Neko is grey.
She's so awesome... Love her face and the kitty toes in her sandals. Grin... Well, that's all for me! Head on over to Nancy and check out her awesomeness!!

The good news is that we did and everything is ready to go! Now to move everything by the 30th!

Now, it's the beginning of the month and that means new stamps!!! Ms Queen Kat is debuting 15 new stamps and 2 new designers!! One of the lines is titled "Creepie Cuties" and that's what I got to play with! This one is titled surprise and I think it's the perfect title!
He, he... I LOVE the expression on her face! If you love her half as much as I do, head on over to the store and pick one up for yourself!

Hey all! Welcome again to Royal Kat Tuesday! I hope you are having a fantastic day! You should have arrived here from the QKD blog, if not, head on over to www.qkd.bloodspot.com and see what Nina made!
As for me, I have a little something for you. This week we were given a fantastic cupie cake picture for inspiration and here's what I came up with.. You see, cupie cakes make me think of birthdays and that's the direction I had to take.
For this one I used the sock monkey set, which is fantastic, i must say! I have a sock monkey named Gunther who lives in my craft room. This card is Gunther approved.
Alrighty, I have to run, Kev thieved my laptop and I have to finish this before his poker tourney starts back up, so please head on over to Nancy and check out her awesomeness!
Enjoy!

Royal Kat Tuesday!
Hi all! It's TUESDAY!! And you know what that means! Royal Kat Tuesday and the blog hop! Hopefully I'm the second stop on the hop, if not, head on back to the beginning at www.qkd.blogspot.com and see what Nina made! As for me, I am happily typing my first post on the iPad! Yeah!!! It takes a little getting used to for the postings but I LOVE it!!! It's SO pretty and awesome!!! Anywho, time to talk about the card, we were given a color challenge of red, white and blue... Well.... I kinda used different colors... Like pink yellow and black but if you give it an artistic eye, you can see how the challenge colors inspired me to use these ones instead... Get it?
I used a few different sets, the busy set is where I got the sentiment and I also used the tread background stamp for a little added texture. the snazzy cut out is from our new templates line which is AMAZING! You must go buy some for your very own! So, that does it for me! Head on over to Nancy at http://craftynancy.blogspot.com/ and see what she has waiting for you!

Happy Tuesday!
Hidey ho hoppers! Tuesday morning rhymes and a creation for you as well! I should be your first stop after leaving the QKD blog. If no, head on over there and start at the beginning! So, are you having a nice morning? I am tracking my iPad online. That's right, it shipped!! Yesterday morning it was in China, now Hong Kong, I shall continue to stalk the FedEx man! I'll keep everyone posted and hopefully next week I'll be extolling the virtues of the iPad!
Well, we had a fabu sketch to work with this week, one that I kind of, ahem, altered.:) For this one I am featuring some older stamps and some new treats.
Where to begin, where to begin... I started by taking a standard sized card and then I traced out one of our new templates and cut it out. Don't you just LOVE that pattern??? I matted the image with some gray paper and used one of our older background stamps for a little bit of texture. Then I colored up a Bodice Image with some Copics. Do you see the new Happy Stixx?? I roughed that up a bit too and colored it with a Copic marker. I am ridiculously pleased with this one and I hope you like it too!!
Well, that's it for me for now! head on over to Nancy and see what she has in store for you!
Enjoy!

Well, we had a fabu sketch to work with this week, one that I kind of, ahem, altered.:) For this one I am featuring some older stamps and some new treats.

Royal Kat Tuesday!
Hey all! There has been a slight change in the weekly hops and now instead of 2 per week, we're condensing into one! I am SO excited about the change! It makes it so much easier to see everyone's awesome creations all in one place then you don't have to worry about missing the other hop! Anywho, I'm super excited and I know that the rest of the design team is as well! Now, you should have arrived here from the QKD blog. If not, go there now so you can start at the beginning!
So for this week we had a super fun sketch to work with, and to make it even better, QKD decided to go old school and we pulled out some oldies but goodies from the store. I had Busy this month.

Such a fun set to play with! You likey, you should head to the store and one for yourself! If you look closely you'll see a little scalloped edge on the side of the card. I used our new line of templates. Now you can have cool patterned edges even if you don't have fancy machine! All you need is a pencil and some scissors! Easy!!
Now your time with me is through, so head on over to Nancy and see what awesomeness she has waiting for you!
Enjoy!

Royal Kat Monday!
Hidey ho, it's another Monday! That means Royal Kat Monday! I was hoping to be making this post from my brand spanking new iPad but alas, no iPad. Apparently there's a backlog of people who want them and you have to wait. I don't wait well... AND I think that those darn iphones are taking up space in the shipment boxes that should be filled with my iPad. I digress...
Hopefully you've arrived here from Penny's blog. If not, head on back to the beginning and check out the start of the hop! We had a fantastic picture to use as inspiration today! Amazingly, I had been inspired my these colors a few months ago and know I had to whip her back out.
I used Ms Bunny Chan and colored her with my Copics. Cute, huh? I just love those felt accents on this card! So, you likey? Head on over to the store and pick her up in RUBBAH!
That's all for me! Head on over and see Wynneth and see what she has waiting for you!

Royal Kat Monday!
Hi all! Welcome once again to Royal Kat Monday! Hopefully you've bopped over here from Penny's blog. If not, please head on back to the beginning and check out what you've missed!
Today's challenge was to make a card using blue and brown.Well,we all know that I NEVER have a problem with that! That might be my all time favorite color combo, so it was NOT a hardship to whip one up! Today I decided to use Birthday Loli who is now available in rubber! Let me tell you, she was a DREAM to stamp in rubber! The detail is AMAZING!
I pulled out an old sketch from some inspiration and went to work. I used some patterend paper from my stash and some fun twill ribbon. I found a few Prima flowers with little skull heads on them and I think they go perfectly with Ms Loli. Now, don't tell the queen but there is a sneek peek of one of next month's releases in this card.I won't say what, but feel free to guess!
Well, that's all for me today! Head on over to Wynneth's blog and check out her awesome creation!

Royal Kat Monday
I know I say this every week, but I REALLY can't believe it's Monday again! I have to be quick with this post since my MIL is in town and I have to be a good hostess!
Hopefully you've arrived here via Penny's blog. If not, please head on back to the beginning to see all of the great creations! Today we had a fantastic sketch for inspiration and I have to admit that those are my most favorite ones. I LOVE sketch challenges!
Here's my interpretation. I used the dress form stamp which is part of the Steampunk inspired line of stamps. I pared it with some older SU! paper from my stash and I added a few Prima flowers. Oh, I also did a little shading with my Copics.
You like? If so head on over to the store and pick up one for yourself!! Before you do, head on over to Wynneth's blog and check out her awesomeness! She is next on the hop!
Enjoy!

Good morning and welcome to Royal Kat Monday! Hopefully you've arrived here from Penny's blog, if not, head on back to the beginning and check out the awesomeness!!
Today's challenge was to make anything BUT a card! For mine I altered a coaster I found on my stash and used one of the new Sin Bonnet Sue stamps.
Don't you just love her?? I colored her with my Copics and mounted her on the coaster. A few stick on some letters and there you have it!
Well, that's it for me today! Head on over to Wynneth and check out her creation!

Happy Monday and welcome to this stop on the QKD blog hop! Hopefully you've popped over here from Penny's blog.If not, please head on back to the beginning and see allof the awesomeness!
So, today we had a fantastic picture for our inspiration. It's was an awesome art deco picture of NYC and the Empire State buliding. I'll be honest, my intepretation is a bit of a stretch,so here goes. I looked at the picture and started thinking about NYC adn how I wanted to go back. Then I yelled to Kev and told him I wanted to go tgo NYC and he reminded me we decided to go to the beach instead. So then I wen outside to convince him that we should go later in the year and I stopped to look at the pretty daffodils around the patio. I have NO idea who planted them, it wasn't me, band when I went upstairs to make this card I was still thinking about the flowers and I colored her green.
This is one of the new Sin Bonnet Sue stamps, we call her Candy Sue. These girrls are more than a little sassy and totally fun to play with. You never know what's going to come out of her mouth! Anywho, I colored her with my cocis then searched for some dp to coordinate. 'mpretty sure this is some SU! paper from last season.
Alright! That's all forme! Remember to stop at the store! Our Queen is running a sale and one lucky person will get their order for free!!
Now you need to head over to see Wynneth! She's back from vacation and ready to wow you!
Enjoy!

Special Sin Bonet Sue HOP!
Happy Friday all and WELCOME to the Sin Bonnet Sue blog hop! This is an extra special hop because we are introducing a new line of stamps at QKD, Ms Sin Bonet Sue! I think I would best describe her as a sassy Holly Hobby. The Queen has a bunch of these fantastic stamps that will be in the store TODAY and there's a sale! 10% all rubber and 60% off the remaining acrylic. You don't want to miss out on this!
So hopefully you've arrived here from Shannon's blog. If not, please head on back to the beginning and check out the entire hop!
I was lucky enough to play with Candy Sue. I love how she's enjoying her pile of treats. I can absolutely picture he look of contemplation on her face as she evaluates that lollipop. I colored her with my Copics and pulled some fun spring paper out of my stash. I absolutely ADORE her!!

Royal Kat Monday!
Hool Cow! Another week passed already?? Thay are just flying by! I think it's because I'mreally enjoying my new job. Aside fromone minor annoyance, it's pretty cool. The good part is that I do a lot of running around and visiting teams, so it keeps me pretty active and off my rump which I think helped me lose another 2 pounds this week!
OK, on to the hop! Hopefully you've bopped over here from Penny's blog. If not, please head on back to the beginning and see what you've missed! In the mean time, check out my addition to the hop. Today's challenge was to create a monocromatic card.
See! My color was pinky-purpely and it's monochromatic!! Go me! I used the carft or die stamp which I adore. I colored it with my copics and used some Basic Grey paper from their holiday collection. Cute, huh? Any who, that does it for me today! Now head over to Wynneth and see what she has waiting for you! Don't forget to head over to the store and check out all of the great deals on acrylic!

We were given a fantastic sketch by Penny and I knew I had to whip out one of Che's fairy stamps.
I used some of the SU! Rich Razzleberry paper and some coordinating dp. I colored her with my copics and added a few flowers. I was really digging the purple today. Not sure why, but I couldn't stop!
Well, that does it for me today! Head on over to Kimme and see what she has waiting for you! And don;t forget to stop over at the QKD store and check out the great prices on the rest of the acrylic stamps and pick up some of the new rubbah!
Enjoy!

Hidey Ho peeps! Welcome to Royal Kat Monday! Hopefully you've arrived here from Penny's blog. If not, head on back to the beginning and see what you've missed! This week we had a fantablous sketch to work with. For my creation I decided to use the Fairy Queen of Hearts stamp.
Don't you just love her? I used the old acrylic version bust the brand spanking new rubber stamp is currently available in the store. I am SO excited about the switch to rubber! The detail is just amazing and SO easy to stamp with! Speaking of the store, you have to head on over ASAP, the remainder of the acrylic stamps are all 60% off right now. You can get some great stamps at an AMAZING price!
Well, that's all for me! Head on over to Kimme's blog and see what awesomeness she has in store for you!

Royal Kat Monday!
Hi all! Welcome again to Royal Kat Monday! Hopefully you've bopped over here from Penny's blog. If not, please head on back to the beginning and check out all of the other awesome creations!
This week, we had an awesome picture as inspiration and I made, (in my opinion) an equally awesome card took a picture of it AND... can't find the USB cord for the camera. Sigh, one of the drawbacks of keeping the house clean at all times for potential showings is that things get put in the wrong places. Grrr. Anywho, I pulled out an oldie but goodie that incorporated the blues and the circles of the inspirational picture.
This was the Sewing Girl stamp and I looked in the store and unfortunately don't see her there. Now, the good news is that ALL of the stamps in the store are 50% off! Yes, you can get some RIDICULOUS deals right now! Why? Because the Queen is switching up the stamps and we're going to rubber!! YEAH!! I am SO execited and can't wait to get my hands on the new stamps!
So, that ends it for me, head on over to Wynneth and see what she has waiting for you!
Enjoy!

Royal Kat Monday!
WOW, I can't believe another week is over! I swear this one just flew by! Things have been pretty busy around here. Kev and I are in the process of trying to sell out house and let me tell you, it is a pain! I am SO tired of having to keep the house immaculate. We've had a lot of showings but so far no bites. We did have one person provide feedback and they said that they weren't considering the house because we had too many things in the closet and they couldn't see how big they were. Really??!! I mean seriously. How about you look at all the stuff and think, "Wow, look how much of MY stuff could fit into that closet." I digress...
Anywho, today is the QKD blog hop and hopefully you arrived here from Penny's blog. If not, please head on back to the beginning and see what you've missed! Today's challenge was to use an older stamp and make something using the colors yellow, blue and green. I decided to resurrect something I made a while ago using the Shroomies stamp.
I just love this paper... I colored my shroomies with Copics and added some embellishments. Too cute!

Good morning all! Told you I was back. Still only one post this week but I feel more coming on. So, hopefully you hopped here from Penny's blog, if not, head on back to the beginning and see all of the awesomeness in order!
This week we had a fantastic sketch and were to use some of the new releases for this month. I'm on the class team and don't receive the monthly stamps so I used one of my new favorites from the shop.
LOVE THIS!! Love the birds, the spool, the birdies, FANTASTIC! I used some pink paislee

Royal Kat Wednsday and back from a LONG break
Good Morning all!! I'm back! Well, I hope that I really am back this time. I haven't been around much over the last month or so, we had some pretty crappy personal things going on. I'm not ready to share and I'm not sure if I want to have it out in the universe. Maybe someday, but not now...
In the mean time, I started a new job and I also started Jenny Craig! Kev and I decided that we wanted to be more active and change our lives. So often it seemed that we were waiting for an event to come along which would make us behave differently but we realized that it had to start with us. So, we are on a quest to be healthier and more active. First week of Jenny down and I have lost 6.6 pounds!! Pretty sweet, now let's keep it going!!
I also got back into the craft room this week and was able to whip up a little something for the Queen Kat blog hop. I'm a little late with my posting but please start back at the beginning and give the ladies some love! I know they have some AWESOME new stamps to show off! For me, I used one of my favorites, the Green Fairy.
I kept it pretty simple and flowery since it is Spring and Easter Sunday. I just wanted something bright and happy. I think I achieved it!
Well, that's about it for me! Thanks for stopping by and I'll be back soon!

Valentine Love
OK, I might be a few days late for Valentine's day but I've been a bit busy. The stinky part is that my time in the craft room has definitely suffered a bit. The long story is that I have been delightfully unemployed since last August. I was a department manager in the mortgage company for a large bank who was acquired by another, even larger bank. I spent the beginning of the year slowly displacing my staff and eventually myself. Then I enjoyed my severance for a while and started seriously looking for a new position in the beginning of December. Good news is that i was recently offered a new position as a Sales Trainer for a large call center and I start this Friday! I think Kev's excited to get me out of the house. I do consider myself pretty fortunate though. I know that a lot of people are in the same boat as I was and haven't had much luck at all. Definitely excited though, especially since i head right to Charlotte the following week for training.
So, I do have a little V-Day card to show off. This one uses Steph from InStyle stamps. I really love their retro stamps! So cute!!!
I colored her with my copics and added some fun bling that I picked up at Archivers. My favorite part of retro images is the colors you can get away with for the clothes. I KNOW that my mom dressed me in pink shirts and maroon pants in the 70s. Ha!!
Alrighy, back to the Olympics!
Enjoy!

Royal Kat Monday!
Hey all! Welcome to Royal Kat Monday! Hopefully you've arrived here via Penny's blog! If not, head on back to the beginning and check out all of the amazing creations!
Today's task was a color challenge using aqua, chocolate brown and red. Well, I can ALWAYS find a reason to use aqua and chocolate brown together. But, I must admit that the red threw me for a loop. I decided to use one of my favorite stamps, the Cabaret Fairy and here's what I came up with...
Oh Baja Breeze, I love and hoard you but for this fairy I broke into my stash. Grin.... You should notice that not only did I use red on her hat band and lips but I added a sparkly red heart as well. Yep, I made it!!
Alright, your time with me is done, so head on over to Wynneth and check out her wonderful creation!
Enjoy!!

Valentine's Dragon
Gack! Is it REALLY February?? Wasn't it just Christmas? Days kinda run together when you aren't working just like they do when you are. The only difference is that Kev expects me to cook and clean more often. Huh... Waiting to here about a second interview so hopefully the recruiter isn't buried in a snow pile and can call me this week. I do need another interview shirt though... maybe the crazies will have gone to work and aren't out on the roads. It's still supposed to he hella slippery out there today.
So, did you hop through the QKD blog hop today? If not just go on over and check out the new releases! Today I played along with the Pink Elephant challenge and made a Valentine's card using the Cute Dragonette stamp. Isn't she adorable??! The task was to use pink! Super easy for me since I recently got some new paper from MME and knew it would be perfect with the dragon. I colored her with my Copics to coordinate with the paper and added a sentiment from the paper pack.
I really like how this one turned out. Really, really...
Alrighty, off for more creating and waiting for the phone to ring! Wish me luck!
Enjoy!

QKD Samples
Happy Sunday! Today is day 2 of our being snowed in. Friday evening it snowed then turned to sleet in the early morning on Saturday. Add those 2 things together and it equals a beautiful, hard packed, slick as ice surface, EVERYWHERE. You know, the kind where you step on it and your feet don't sink, you just kinda walk on top of it...
Are we REALLY snowed in, no. But people down here are crazy and don't have any idea how to drive in the snow. Friday there were 700 reported accidents in the triangle and 600 today. Yes, really... I learned how to drive on the backwoods mountains of WV in the snow, ice and rain. This is nothing, but I'm keeping the Jetta safe and dent free in the driveway! To compensate for being trapped indoors I cleaned my craft room and got to work while Kev played a LOT of Internet poker.
Then I realized that I hadn't yet posted my creations using the stamps from QKD's January release. Oops. So without further adieu, here's Sophia the Seamstress.
I used some fun papers from Cosmo Cricket and colored her with Copics. I just love this color combo!
For the second one I pulled out some paper from MME. Again with the Copics and I was pretty amused with my bow. Ooo, love the bling as well!

Don't forget to stop by the QKD blog hop on Monday. Start at the QKD blog and see what the ladies have in store for you! I haven't received my Feb assignment yet so I won't be joining but I'll still have something pretty to show!
Enjoy!

Royal Kat Monday!
Hey all! Welcome to Royal Kat Monday! Hopefully you've bopped over here from Penny's blog. If not, head on back to the beginning so you'll be sure not to miss a thing! This week we had a super cool picture to use as our inspiration.
I really liked the lines in the panels of the fireplace and drew on that for my inspiration.

It's a little hard to see but I scored some lined on the card stock before adding my image. I used the Cute Dragonette stamp which FINALLY arrived after what seemed like forever! We have a new mail man, I wonder if he has something to to with my mail trouble. hmmm. Any way, I colored her with my copics and added a pop of red with the bow. I think she's adorable.
Well, your time with me is through and you need to go see Wynneth. but before you go, don't forget that Everything is 20% off in the store! Just add the code TT20 in the coupon code at checkout! It's good until the end of the month!
Enjoy!

Time to make some cards.
Happy Saturday! Today was a bit of a sleep in day for me. We went to see Steven Wright last night at the Carolina theater. We didn't get out tickets until that morning so the seat pickings were a little sparse. Apparently we could have had better seats but you had to be at above 5'4" to sit there. Lemme tell you, that's some BS. My short stature was discriminated against and forced into a less comfy seat. Boooo. At least the show was good. My favorite line was, "what's Jesus ever done for Santa's birthday?" snicker...
Today Kevin and I were looking at houses and we found some pretty nice ones that we really liked. Mind you, I need a job first before we can move but hey, I'm optimistic! There are some pretty good deals on new construction right now with some ridiculous discounts on options. One place was offering $35,000 in free options! Do you have any idea what I could do with that much $?? But for now we have to wait...
Instead, how about a little something I whipped up using one of my PTI sets?

I just love that these are made to be used with buttons. I have a bunch and they have a tendency to be neglected. I paired it with some paper from my stash, crushed curry and old olive card stocks. Nice and easy!
Well, I have to get to cleaning, we have some visitors coming tomorrow and the house is definitely NOT in company shape!!
Enjoy!

Valentine's treats
Today I had to run up to Oxford and drop off a special order and drop off some Valentine's creations. It was a delightfully warm 67 degree day today and I rode up with the sun roof open. For a girl who spent the first 27 odd years of her life in the Pittsburgh area, there's still something just a little wrong about that. This time last year we were getting ready for the great blizzard of 2009 where 6 inches of snow resulted in 700+ closings in the area. Growing up, 6 inches was just another Wednesday.
I'm not feeling terribly confident that we'll see any of the fluffy white stuff this year so I'll have to content myself with memories of winters past.... Sigh...how about a little something I whipped up for V-Day?
I made some diaper fold pouches and added a pack of conversation hearts. The yellow Necco ones are my FAVORITES and I always save them until the end. These aren't them and the yellow aren't nearly as awesome, but still adorable, right!!. :(
Then I inked up yet another neglected Unity stamp. Ugh, I really had 3 untouched KOTMs hanging around. I stink.

Well, that's about it for now, I have to go rescue the knitting yarn from Titus.

So, this week the challenge was to use red, white and black in your card along with an older stamp. I finally inked up my Russian Dolls set

Hidey Ho!
Hola peeps! What's been going on? My blogging has been a little sporadic in the past few months since I haven't been feeling well. One of the awful side effects of my illness was the elimination of coffee from my diet. Now, it wasn't advised that I should give up the delicious brew, but it simply didn't taste good. The nectar of the gods which once graced my cup 3, sometimes 4 times a day had been rudely yanked from my life without even a kiss on the cheek goodbye.
I am ridiculously pleased to announce that coffee is again AWESOME!! Yes!!! Not only is coffee awesome but apparently I lost my tolerance to caffeine. Do you know what that means???!!! Yes, I've been bouncing off the walls for the last 4 days. Lalalalalalalalalala..... And I did learn to knit. Well, mostly... I learned how to cast on, knit and purl. Right now I have 1/8 of a tiny gray scarf. After I run out of yarn I'll learn how to cast off and finish it. Next stop, a sock.
So, how about a simple card? Go patterned paper and punches! Pretty simple and I used another un-loved Unity stamp.
Off to harass the kitties and watch some Golden Globes.
Enjoy!

More Valentine's cards!
I am SOOOOoooo bored today. I had to take the VW in for an oil change and tire rotation at 9am this morning. At first they wanted me in at 730. WhAAAt??? it's an OIL change. After more pestering than I expected I got them down to 9. Bleck.. So, got the oil changed and I was up, coffee'd and accomplished something. Seriously, this was the most activity I'd done in the morning in a LONG time.
Then I went to Babies r Us and learned that there are some ridiculous things for sale there. I saw a baby bath and spa. Apparently babies need a whirlpool bath. Really... I think my mom washed me in a pot on the table. Then I was hungry and got a pretzel. Then I decided to learn how to knit and went to a yarn store to sign up for a beginner class. After that, I saw a sign at Whole Foods advertising a juice seminar and I went over there. The juicer wasn't $500 cool but it was OK. The juice was gross though. Then I bought some gluten-free cookies that I tried at Starbucks yesterday and some organic cookies that were shaped like eco-friendly things. in the box there are tiny windmills, a happy sun, the earth and a Prius.
After all of that I called Kevin and he made fun of me. He told me not to get a new hobby and to go to my craft room and make a card. Then he said I should be looking for a job instead. Yes, yes, I need to look for a job. So blog-world friends, I am an experienced department manager who specializes in call center management. Anyone know of anything in the Raleigh/Durham area??
I'm watching some trash TV instead of going to the craft room. I have a new episode of Teen Mom and Luger is perched in front of the TV ready to get started. So instead here's a little something I whipped up the other day. I again used my much neglected Unity KOTM stamps.
I pulled the turquoise from the designer paper to add a pop of color. Then I added some stickles and bling. It's a little different for me.
Huh, Kev's home. I'd better look productive. Peace out!
